Countries with similar flags

A flags for any country is more than just a piece of cloth. It represents a country at any corner of world.

But do you know that there are some country whose flags resemble with each other.

  • Chad and Romania
The national flag of Republic of Chad is a vertical tricolour consisting of a blue, a gold and a red field. Its similarity to the flag of Romania, which differs only in having a lighter shade of blue has caused international discussion.

  • INDIA AND NIGAR
The Flag of Niger has been the national symbol of the West African Republic of Niger since 1959, a year prior to its formal independence from France. It uses the national colors of orange, white and green, in equal horizontal bands, with an orange roundel in the center.
The National Flag of India is a horizontal rectangular tricolour of India saffron, white and India green; with the Ashoka Chakra, a 24-spoke wheel, in navy blue at its centre.

  • EGYPT AND IRAQ
The flag of Egypt is a tricolour consisting of the three equal horizontal red, white, and black bands of the Egyptian revolutionary flag dating back to the 1952 Egyptian Revolution. The flag bears Egypt's national emblem, the Egyptian eagle of Saladin centered in the white band.
The flag of Iraq includes the three equal horizontal red, white, and black stripes of the Arab Liberation flag. This basic tricolor has been in use since its adoption on 31 July 1963, with several changes to the green symbols in the central white stripes; the most recent version adopted on 22 January 2008 bears the takbīr rendered in dark green.

  • NETHERLAND AND PARAGUAY
The national flag of the Netherlands is a tricolor flag. The horizontal fesses are bands of equal size in the colors from top to bottom, red (officially described as a "bright vermilion"), white (silver), and blue.
The flag of Paraguay was first adopted in 1842. Its design, a red–white–blue triband, was inspired by the colours of the Dutch flag, believed to signify independence and liberty.

  • INDONESIA AND MONACO
The national flag of Monaco has two equal horizontal bands of red and white, both of which have been the heraldic colours of the House of Grimaldi since at least 1339. The present bicolour design was adopted on 4 April 1881, under Prince Charles III.The Flag of Indonesia is a simple bicolour with two equal horizontal bands, red and white with an overall ratio of 2:3.

  • TURKEY AND TUNISIA 
The flag of the Republic of Turkey, often referred to as the Turkish flag is a red flag featuring a white star and crescent. The flag is often called al bayrak, and is referred to as al sancak in the Turkish national anthem. The red and white flag of Tunisia, adopted as national flag in 1959, has its origins in the naval ensign of the Kingdom of Tunis adopted in 1831 by Al-Husayn II ibn Mahmud. The star and crescent recalls the Ottoman flag and is therefore an indication of Tunisia's history as a part of the Ottoman Empire. The current official design dates to 1999.

  • NEWZELAND AND AUSTRALIA
The flag of New Zealand, also known as the New Zealand Ensign, is a defaced Blue Ensign: a blue field with the Union Jack in the canton, and four red stars with white borders to the right.The flag of Australia is a defaced Blue Ensign: a blue field with the Union Jack in the canton, and a large white seven-pointed star known as the Commonwealth Star in the lower hoist quarter.
